My Versant Experiance

I m Sumesh Sathyababu
I got selected for Dell Portables Technical Process in Sutherland.its for 12 days communication and 8 days Technical trng.Communication Trng was so good. i enjoyed a lot. After a long time i felt that i got my College days back.At the end of Communication training u have Versant Test. Its Very Simple.

Fluency
No Pause
Imitate the Sound (if you dont know the Answer)
Dont Hesitate


This is what my trainer told.i trusted her. did what she told. Our Trainer used to review us one by one in person to know how much we have improved and she put each person in each category,like what is the chance for this person & how much he will score.I asked her what are my chances and she told may/may not.when i heard this i was not upset, i was happy. Because even without my 100 percent i have a chance of may/may not. so what if i give my 100 percent. well i did what she told. give your 100 percent. And you wont bileve me guys, i scored the highest.you guys want to see how much i scored out of 80

Guys, Bileave me our Trainer was Sheena, Trust her. Do What she says, she will give you all the tips to clear versant. after all its only a meachine. Our trainer always says to us onething that, guy's "What ever it is Dont Hesitate,just go for it.Weather u get or not. give ur 100 percent" Thanks Sheena

MY VERSANT EXPERIENCE

THIS IS VENKAT I GOT SELECTED FOR SUTHERLAND IN DEL PORTABLE PROCESS .FIRST TRAINING WILL BE FOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS .THAT IS VERSANT FOR DELL PORTABLES . THE TRAINING WILL BE FOR TWELVE DAYS .THEN YOU HAVE TO APPEAR FOR VERSANT .VERSANT TEST CONSISTS OF

SENTENCE MASTERY
VOCABULARY
IT IS BASED ON AMERICAN ACCENT THEY WILL SAY BUT NOT SO I THINK IT IS NEUTRAL ACCENT .MACHINE EXPECTS ONLY SOUNDS .PRACTICE ALL SOUNDS WHICH THEY TEACH YOU .SOME MAY NOT COME .DON'T WORRY FOR ME ALSO SAME CASE. I HAD PROBLEM WITH DIPTHONGS .BUT BE FAST AND SPONTANEOUS AND CONCENTRATE MORE ON FLUENCY IF YOU DON'T GET THE PRONOUNCIATION RIGHT.AS FOR ME TRY TO EQUALIZE THE SCORE .THE SCORE IS FOR 80 AND YOU NEED TO GET 60 .ALL FOUR SECTIONS AS MENTIONED ABOVE HAS 80 EACH .IT IS JUST A MATTER OF NEUTRALIZING THE SCORE .BE CONFIDENT .TELL SOMETHING FOR REPEAT AND JUMBLED EVEN IF YOU CANNOT GET IT EXACTLY .DON'T WORRY WHETHER IT IS WRITE OR WRONG JUST BE FAT AND SPONTANEOUS .DO NOT INTONATE .WE HAD GOOD TRAINER THATS WHY WE GOT GOOD SCORES .IT IS JUST A SIMPLE TEST .BE CONFIDENT AND DO IT WELL GUYS .YOU CAN CLEAR .ON THE FIRST DAY OF TRAINING I THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING TOUGH BUT THEN MY JUDGEMENT WENT WRONG . I THINK ITS ENOUGH .

My Versant Experience ! ! ! !

I had joined Sutherland and got selected for Dell portables technical process recently. The training consist 12 days of communication and next 8 days of technical training. To get into detail about the communication training they teach us the sounds,grammar,how to attend call and handle the customers...blah blah blah.All the 12 day of training was realy good with lots of fun.At the end of communication training u have Versant test, which evaluates us by four criteria.

1.Pronunciation

2.Fluency

3. Vocabulary

4. Sentence Mastery

To get into my Versant experience, I got my Versant sheet a week before. I mean the sets of questions for Part A alone. Started to prepare for that. But I had some problems with some sounds,to be true quite a lots of sounds.Its my trainer Sheena who helped me a lot, she even changed me the Versant sheet. Since I had problem with "ah","r" sounds. Even after with the new Versant sheet, I still had problems with sounds. And my trainer just asked me to do one thing,you just forget the pronoun cation and concentrate on the other criteria. I just started to do that.Guys you wont believe I cleared Versant handsomely.

People who has got problem with sounds just concentrate on the other criteria, I am sure you can clear. Versant is just cheating the machine with your presence of mind at that point of time. Just did what my trainer asked me to do. Read the sentences fast but with clarity, at a stretch without any pause. She made my task simple and use to say "HARD WORK NEVER FAILS". It came true when I saw my result.

And guys just don't stop anywhere during the test, even a single pause can let you down. Even if you are going to make wrong sense just go on. The machine doesn't know anything other than the sounds.

And I have to say the best thing about my trainer she gets us  the phonetic way of the sentences for the Versant sheet. Which will surely help on the sounds, where we should concentrate more, this is for people who is really good in pronunciation cation.  People who really have trouble with sounds, just go on with the fluency and other criteria you can clear easily.

Do you guys know how much I got 66. Even having problem with most of the sounds, was able to clear. The main reason I concentrated on the other criteria.

And guys be confident and cool before you take up the test.

And guys if you are going to get Sheena as your trainer you are damn lucky
